RB’s Universe Podcast Episode 0 – 1.00; Imonoran Empire Cast Episode 2.08
Hello and welcome to episode 0 of the RB’s Universe Podcast, if you are listening to this episode through the Imonoran Empire Cast feed this episode is doubling as IEC season 2 episode 8.
I’d like to welcome you to our episode. In this episode I pretty much want to tell you why I am doing what I am doing.
So let’s jump right in to this episode. I wanted you to know that I have not forgotten about you. I have gotten busy and I apologize for that. I have come to realize that the format I had with the IEC was just too restrictive. That is why I have made the decision to... to retire the Imonoran Empire Cast. This idea did not come easily and I did not make the decision lightly.
I have loved the moments we have had with the Imonoran Empire Cast. I have loved your e-mails and voicemails. All the feedback has touched me immensely, the good and the bad.
So as much as this is an episode to introduce the new podcast it is also an episode to say... goodbye to the Imonoran Empire Cast. This is hard for me to do. Don’t get me wrong. The IEC was what got me started, without the IEC we wouldn’t have some of the stories we do have including Lost Falchion – check the show notes for a link to the book. I will miss it.
But with the format that I had – the Imonoran Empire Cast – meant that I could only produce stories on the feed that were based in the Imonoran Empire. I have produced stories in the feed that were not part of the Imonoran Empire with mixed reviews but for the most part I feel weird when I put stories in the feed that aren’t based in the Imonoran Empire. So I have made a new podcast: The RB’s Universe Podcast.
Where the Imonoran Empire Cast could only have stories in it that were part of the Imonoran Empire the RB’s Universe Podcast can have any type of story. Anything that I have written can go on the RB’s Universe Podcast where it can’t in the Imonoran Empire Cast. So this is part of the reason why I have made the decision.
The rest of the decision deals with the fact that I am tired of blogging. I started blogging because I started podcasting and I wanted to get the most word out as possible. So I am going to go back to podcasting so I can get some of the RB’s Universe News out without having to produce a blog – I enjoy podcasting more than blogging.
So with our further adieu I present the RB’s Universe Podcast. And Episode 1 will be coming out on Twenty-eighth of February. These first couple episodes will have a story in it that is something that you have never heard from me before. The Story is titled Mesmers in the Dark and it is, kind of a mix of Fantasy and Science Fiction. There are no humans in the story, which is kind of weird but I have enjoyed writing it.
