Well I was looking over my ideas for a the upcoming projects.
First of all the next project that I am going to be working on:
The Urkia Project:
There is several possibilities for this project. Seeing as how it is for books I can work it in several different ways. The first being of course break it up into several different projects. Meaning in the upcoming session. I write book one as well as a short story anthology. (I promise that if I am able I will bring a short story anthology out with each project (note that I didn't say each novel!).) Then I would move onto the Ynel Project and then revisit the Urkia Project writing book 2 then Linal (I know Linal is pretty much the only unknown aspect of the RB's Universe) and then back to the Urkia Project with book 3... and so on. Or I could write book one and two this time and then Ynel then book 3 and 4 (3 & 4 will most likely be written together even if the other two aren't because the last book is just an Epilogue which will lead readers into areas they can write themselves.
The Ynel Project:
The Ynel project is not really even in a planning stage for the novel yet. I have several short stories ready to be written that introduce the main characters and the world as a whole but I really don't have to many ideas for the novel yet. I will update with more later.
The Linal Project:
OK this is the one that most people are clamoring over. What is Linal? Well I'm not going to tell you. I have told you what Urkia is and what Ynel is and we all know what the Imonoran Empire is so you are just going to have to wait and see on what Linal is. I will release information about it before the Novel is released (most likely in the form of a short story anthology).
Other Ideas for the above Projects:
I am thinking of Podcasting all the above novels as well as Forced War. I'm not sure but it will boost support of the novels and it worked very well for Scott Sigler (Future Dark Overlord).

F.S.O.
OK you guys there has got to be some of you out there who like to RP. I mean back in the day we had a huge number of players of Federation Space Online. During the first year of play alone we had 2,468 players. Then someone had to hit us with a virus and we had to close the game. We lost everything because of that. All models and specifications were lost like books in a fire. When we reopened later it wasn't as good and alot of things were only half assed. We made do but it still caused a lag in the player numbers.
Now we have re-released and it you can go play it. The only thing that is now under construction with the original F.S.O. is the Guide for New Players. F.S.O.2 is almost ready to be released and my team are working hard on putting that out there for you but please give it some love when it comes out.
After F.S.O.2 we will work on launching the expansion set and then get the Compound out for you as well.

Some Numbers
This will be released in IEC Episode 112 but I am going to put it here to just to show how useful this blog can be.
I have recently been looking at the number of Downloads and our totals for the months so far and I have been very pleased. Right now just for the month of April we are currently at 141 downloads. Which gives us a total of 384 downloads to date. I really only have all the listeners to thank. Episode 12 will have a note to this effect as well so listen for that.
I am also trying to get some big names in podcasting to read a Chapter or piece of a chapter. Currently I have sent requests to Scott Sigler (Future Dark Overlord (TM)) and J.C. Hutchins. I have not received replies yet but I have to wait.
This is not any promises but I do have my fingers crossed.
I am also thinking about Mur Lafferty and Christiana Ellis for the book as well. If so I will have to rerecord the intro to LF becuase it won't be just me reading it any more... well at least not for four episodes... five because back in march we had Chris Lester Read chapter 2 part 2. So yeah... that would be really nice... but we'll see I've sent one to FDO (TM) and J.C. so if those responses go well then we'll move on to Mur and Christiana.
I want to make a distinction about the above. Mur and Christiana are not "2nd choices" or something... I had just already sent out e-mails to FDO (TM) and J.C. upon the writing of this blog post and do not have the material ready for ready for four consecutive episodes. Chapters 5 & 6 have gone through the final editing phase and are ready to be read "on the wire" but Chapters 7 - the Epilogue have not. My editors (myself and one other person) aer currently working on getting those one's finished.
Future Dark Overlord and FDO are trademarks registered and/or unregistered of Scott Sigler.

Back
OK I'm back from the beach. It was nice, I relaxed and got to write some. I then got see the ocean and the surf and everything. Chapter 4 of Lost Falchion will be coming out tonight at midnight.
I'm thinking about posting a part of Forced War here on the blog. I'm not sure. Make sure you go check out the Imonoran Empire Cast so you can hear chapter 4 and some updates. And don't forget to check Unexpected Ramifications to see some of the latest news (I'm sorry guys I am not trying to steal your thunder with this Blog).

Gone
OK so I am going to be gone today and most of tomorrow so I will not be posting tomorrow. I will give you all some quick updates though:
Forced War:
If the editing process keeps going smoothly and I find another editor I will hopefully be releasing it through Lulu.com this fall/winter. So keep your eyes peeled for that. Also I am looking at doing a sequel... well sort of. It will be a sequel in the same way Lost Falchion is a sequel to Forced War. It will come afterward and deal with the Imonoran Empire. This sequel may even deal with Rantré... maybe.
Lost Falchion:
OK so there really isn't any news on lost Falchion it will keep releasing on schedule and I don't for see any problems. It will however keep up to the end so you won't be seeing anything new from the IEC untill Lost Falchion is finished. (It may turn out to be more of a Novella instead of a Novel.)
Empire Vol. 2/3:
OK So Empire Vol. 2 will be releasing an unedited version this summer. Don't expect a lot of pics as was in Vol. 1 but we will be seeing it this summer.
Vol. 3 however will not be seen until probably early 09, with the Urkia Project Starting as soon as I finish editing Forced War and post the unedited version of Vol. 2. Now remember Vol. 3 is left entirely in your hands so get writing and I will get finished with the Imperial Writers' Guide so you can know the exact parameters that you can write in.
That's pretty much it for right now. I will update Sunday when after I've finished editing IEC 111 so make sure you check that out. That is pretty much all from me.

Updates
Well I know I just started this today and I have nothing really posted but I wanted to give some RB's Universe Updates. OK First of all the Ynel Contest is still runing and there is a new rescource in development for your help in this contest.
A new Wiki has been made by me for Ynel specifically! There is nothing on it at the moment but I am working on getting it up. It will be... hard with not time to update it but I'm putting it on the for front of the RB's Universe Project List (after Lost Falchion and the IEC of course!) because we really need to find a closing date for this event. I will leave it open ended until we get enough people to judge but you know I can't do that for ever.There is also going to be an announcement on the IEC this week so listen for that.
Also some other news is the that we are looking at writers to add things to Empire Vol. 3. It has come to our attention that I have written 18 stories in this series and we have just seen my view of this world (which is common in most authors careers). We would like to go one step further and see what the people who read these stories think of this world and how they perceive it.
Yes my opinions matter because it is I who created the Imonoran Empire but so do yours. So this is your chance. It is not a contest at the moment but it may become one in the future. We are putting together Empire Vol. 3 with stories the readers have written. This is your chance to get your fanfic made into canon. I would like everyone to realize that we can not put everyone's stories in to one volume so we may add an Empire Vol. 4 if we get enough interest in Empire Vol. 3. Even if you don't make it into the next volume it is possible that you could make it into 4. And if we get enough response to this and we don't have enough entries to make a Volume 4 then i will get my fingers moving and fill in the rest of Vol. 4 for you guys to get published.
News:
R.A.I. A screen play that I am working on will be posted after it is finished. If I have any takers to see it you can e-mail me. I may try to put a lo budget production on but I'm not sure it depends if the audience get's big enough with the demand.
Well this post is pretty much over and I haven't even discussed what I wanted to.
Well really quick. I want to talk to you about the Licenses you see popping up all over RB's Universe. Well you see there is this bill called the Orphan Works Bill that is coming before congress (Google and make sure you are informed about it especially if you are an artist that posts things on the web). It will officially remove all rights to images, stories and anything else that you have posted oline will have it's rights removed so that some other person can take it and sell it and you can't do a thing about it! That is the reason for the Creative Commons popping up all over the place. Make sure you get informed and send letters to your congressman.

I am planning for this to be the random blitherings of a writer who is trying to write a novel edit another novel and keep up on school work.
Yeah sounds crazing I know but I will try to keep you up to date on all that is going on between Forced War, Lost Falchion and the rest of RB's Universe I am not sure though. I will keep you posted.
First Order of Business:

Yeah so I am currently editing Forced War. I am through chapter 5 so far and have started on chapter 6. Well it is going better then I thought but the novel right now is not going to be released until winter '08 at the earliest. I may release a chapter or two as a promo for the novel, I have already released the Prologue and you can find that on the UR (Unexpected Ramifications) site.
I don't know if they have brought it over to their new site yet but I have been assured by them that they will. Forced War is my first novel and therefore very close to me. I am keeping it under wraps so much not just so I can finish but also because it is so close to my heart that I really don't want to let it go yet.
A few close personal friends are the only people who have seen it. Well at least through Chapter 5 that is.
Lost Falchion:
Well I am in the process of writing Lost Falchion and you can actually go see it at the Imperial Writers' Guide. I have the Prologue and Chapter 1 posted there and am working on formatting Chapters 2,3 and 4 for the web (I write my novels formatted for the printed page). I am working on writing Chapter 5 and have already recorded Chapter 4 which will be released this up coming Monday (April 21, 2008). I am very happy at how the quality has picked up since I got Chapter 3 finished. Even though it was broken up it still has had better quality than the first three installations (Prologue-Chapter 2).
Well that is pretty much it for right now I will be giving an update on the Empire Project sometime this week and will hopefully be able to get that on here as soon as possible.
