If you have been reading my other blog then you already know this but the Imonoran Empire Cast has been retired. I am now working solely on the RB's Universe Podcast. It was a hard decision for me to retire the IEC and you can read my original blog post here.

Hello and welcome to episode 0 of the RB’s Universe Podcast, if you are listening to this episode through the Imonoran Empire Cast feed this episode is doubling as IEC season 2 episode 8.

I’d like to welcome you to our episode. In this episode I pretty much want to tell you why I am doing what I am doing.

So let’s jump right in to this episode. I wanted you to know that I have not forgotten about you. I have gotten busy and I apologize for that. I have come to realize that the format I had with the IEC was just too restrictive. That is why I have made the decision to... to retire the Imonoran Empire Cast. This idea did not come easily and I did not make the decision lightly.

I have loved the moments we have had with the Imonoran Empire Cast. I have loved your e-mails and voicemails. All the feedback has touched me immensely, the good and the bad.

So as much as this is an episode to introduce the new podcast it is also an episode to say... goodbye to the Imonoran Empire Cast. This is hard for me to do. Don’t get me wrong. The IEC was what got me started, without the IEC we wouldn’t have some of the stories we do have including Lost Falchion – check the show notes for a link to the book. I will miss it.

But with the format that I had – the Imonoran Empire Cast – meant that I could only produce stories on the feed that were based in the Imonoran Empire. I have produced stories in the feed that were not part of the Imonoran Empire with mixed reviews but for the most part I feel weird when I put stories in the feed that aren’t based in the Imonoran Empire. So I have made a new podcast: The RB’s Universe Podcast.

Where the Imonoran Empire Cast could only have stories in it that were part of the Imonoran Empire the RB’s Universe Podcast can have any type of story. Anything that I have written can go on the RB’s Universe Podcast where it can’t in the Imonoran Empire Cast. So this is part of the reason why I have made the decision.

The rest of the decision deals with the fact that I am tired of blogging. I started blogging because I started podcasting and I wanted to get the most word out as possible. So I am going to go back to podcasting so I can get some of the RB’s Universe News out without having to produce a blog – I enjoy podcasting more than blogging.

So with our further adieu I present the RB’s Universe Podcast. And Episode 1 will be coming out on Twenty-eighth of February. These first couple episodes will have a story in it that is something that you have never heard from me before. The Story is titled Mesmers in the Dark and it is, kind of a mix of Fantasy and Science Fiction. There are no humans in the story, which is kind of weird but I have enjoyed writing it.

OK, I haven't written anything on this blog in a long time. That is partly because I am using a new service if you want to see where I have been blogging for the past year you can go to my other blog : HERE.

My original plan had been to keep two separate blogs, one official and one more intimate more... me. Well that didn't really work out so well so I have made the other one my blog. So here is my blog and this one will probably just fade into nothingness.

Quiet Lately

So since the start of the IEC Season 2 I've been quiet lately. So I wanted to let you all know that I am alive and you will get an episode this Friday on schedule. I appreciate all the e-mails that I have received about this Season of the Imonoran Empire Cast. Thank you for receiving me back into the podcasting scene even after a year of silence on the feed.

Well as most of you know there wasn't a complete silence on the feed. I did try several times to get Season 2 started. But I failed. Yes 2009 was a year of failure podcasting wise. You have made me immensely welcome back into my old spot in your hearts now that 2010 has started and I have started podcasting again. Thank you.

Part of the reason Season 2 never got started in 2009 was that I was so far away from finishing Forced War. Not speaking with a meaning of how close the end of the story was - the book was, and is, practically almost done - but speaking in terms of how far the end was for me psychologically. The end of the book was very far away for me when I was thinking about it!

But I am back and now you can grab those podcast episodes every other Friday in your podcatcher. So, my faithful listeners and readers, make sure you pick up, and listen to this weeks episode with Chapter 2 of Forced War in it.

Well I know it has been a long time since my last post. Almost a month but I am here to tell you that I am excited to be back on the scene. OK, what was with the silence in December? You ask. Well it was because I was working my ass off to finish Forced War. I am approx. two thousand words away from closing the deal on this baby! What does that mean for you? Starting January first you will be receiving a brand new episode of the IEC in you podcatcher. Yes that is right January first!

From now on every, and I mean every, episode of the IEC is going to be coming to you every other Friday. The plan is in the future to go to every Friday but for now we are going to stick with every other just for timeline issues!

This means that January 1st we are going to hear the Prologue to Forced War, January 15th you are going to hear Chapter One of Forced War, January 22nd you are going to hear Chapter 2 of Forced War and on that most unexpected of days January 29th you are going to hear Chapter Three of Forced War. This is what is going to happen with the IEC.

That pretty much all the news I have for now.

I am writing hard for NaNoWriMo! I am staying up to date and not getting behind! Thank you for all the support and well wishing I really appreciate that!

Rumors

There have been some rumors floating around that I have another blog that is separate from this one and more private.

These rumors are true.

I do have another blog. This one is a more personal blog and not something that will need to be read by those who are just checking to see if the IEC will be coming back (and it will be after NaNoWriMo). It is about my writing and personal life and things of this nature. If you stumble upon it feel free to read it. But please don't go around posting links to it.

I am asking this as the friend of everyperson who reads this blog or listens to the IEC. I am very happy with how things are moving forward right now and wish it to stay that way.

Things are moving full speed, actually faster, with NaNoWriMo being upon us and my line up for podcasting (I have adjusted the chapters around in Forced War which caused it to un podcastable until I finished it) in '10. The Ynel novel will be being podcasted next year as well. After NaNoWriMo is over I will be starting Blinding Dig so I can bring that to you.

The Information you receive here won't stop coming. My other blog is still new and it hasn't been around for long so I have not been neglecting this blog just because I've been posting in the other one.

I am surprised (though I shouldn't be) of how fast word got out that I have another blog.

OK, so there has been a lack of anything going on in the RB's Universe lately. Well there really is no excuse. I will be coming out with a new episode on the IEC feed soon. But it will have no story content. I am going to be placing it there as an apology and an update to let everyone know what is going on.

I have made a decision to stop season two until I have finished writing Forced War. When the book is done I will podcast it. The decision to do this happened when I made a decision to rearrange and split some chapter that I had already recorded.

Also I won't have much time during November to podcast seeing as how I am participating in NaNoWriMo again this year. I am writing the first book in the Ynel Series (tentatively titled Ynel) which will also be podcasted when it is finished. It may not have a feed. I'm not sure. We'll see.

But that is the news so far. If there are any changes you'll see them here.

IEC/Lost Falchion

Well I, the IEC and Lost Falchion are all brand new! I am back! The IEC is back and the Lost Falchion is out in print and soon to come out on Podiobooks.

I’m excited to announce that Lost Falchion is now out in Print! Go here to take a look at it. I am very happy for it to be out. You can see some reviews of it, one from Believable Blie and another from UR, and then pick up a copy. The book will be coming out on Podiobooks.com soon and there will also be a CD version Audiobook format available with extra content not available from the podcast.

To bring up the IEC, the podcast is back for a second season! You can go to ImonoranEmpire.mypodcast.com and start listening to Forced War today. The Podcast started its second season on Monday June 21st and the third episode of Season 2 will be out on the 20th of July. The Second season will run until Forced War is finished.

So now that I’m back from my break, the Contests that we were promoting earlier will be back up. I will have dates coming soon.

Time to say hi,

OK, so I really have to say hi to y'all. I know it's been a long time since I was actually active but I promise to start being active soon. I had to take a break because of exterior circumstances (e.g. a sociology class that was trying to eat me alive). But I'm back in the saddle. It's a great time to be right now, I have a lot of time on my hands as I try to set up the sale of novella and the on sight promotion (to my friends and family; if you would like to receive one of the promotional letters, as well as a flyer send your address to rbsuniverse@gmail.com). I'm also working on writing Forced War (about 20,000 words to go).

When the podcast starts back up you will get to hear the novel and more coming from me.

One Year of Blogging

This is my one year anniversary to the minute! I made sure and waited until like five minutes before the exact minute to write this that way it would come out at the exact minute as the first.

Thank you all for the support of me and my work over the last year. We got some amazing numbers on the IEC (Which will be coming back for a second season) and had some fun over the year.

So look for Lost Falchion coming out in print and the IEC starting back up and we'll see you again soon.

Long time no post!

OK everyone, I know I have been bad about updating since the beginning of the year. The Imonoran Empire Cast Season 2 is going relaunch on June 1st. We're going to be restarting the season from that point. Season 2 isn't up on the original site yet anyway so We'll be starting off with episode 200, Forced War Prologue, and continuing from there. Every two weeks an episode same format as before.

Thanks to all for your patience with me. I've been really, really busy and making some hard decisions lately. Yeah words really can't describe it. So thank you for sticking in there and I promise to be back!

Lost Falchion is getting ready to come out in print from Lulu.com as well. Right now I'm shooting for June 12th. Those dates are already up on the Google Calendar. I have been working really hard on Forced War and feel that I'm getting close to the end. It's going to finish up in the next 20-30 thousand words.

Then I will start on editing Blinding Dig, the next Imonoran Empire Novel and jump into the Ynel Project. Also all the contests will be relaunching on the same date as the IEC. So those signed copies of Lost Falchion will be up for grabs again!

IEC Took January Off

Well the Imonoran Empire Cast took January off. With how busy I and the rest of the team were during the start of the Winter Term (College Life is... fun). We will be resuming with three consecutive episodes this next week. Episodes 203, 204 and 205 will be coming out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (respectively).

OK, so I have been pretty quiet about this because I've been wondering how to pull it off.

A couple of posts ago I released that we were going to have contest where you could win a signed manuscript (prerelease) of Lost Falchion. Well I have figured out how we are going to do this. To participate go to imonoranempire.mypodcast.com and download these episodes (if you have the first season don't worry!): 5, 6, 7, 8.5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 (NOT 8, BUT 8.5) and listen to Lost Falchion all the way through. You can also go here and read it online. Then at the end of the next four (4), that's right four (4), episodes of the Imonoran Empire Cast we will have a trivia question from the book. You will e-mail your answer to imonoranempire@gmail.com or call it in to 206-600-5178. Those who answer correctly will be entered into the contest. Then in episode 208.5 we will announce our randomly chosen winners.

Also I'm have some updates on the future episodes that will be coming out. We have our second annual IEC X-mas episode and our new years episode is going to be separate from the normal Progression this year. We also have (as seen above) my Birthday episode (which uncannily enough will be 8.5 this year).

IEC Season 2 Kick Off

OK Everyone the second season of the Imonoran Empire Cast has officially kicked off. There are two episodes up, episode 0 and episode 1 respectively, and the entire RB's Universe is doing something special in honor of the second season.

Urkia Short Story (the first part of the Urkia Project to be published)
Ynel Short Story (the first part of the Ynel Project to be published)

That's right I'm bringing out a story in the Urkia and Ynel universes to give you all a taste of what those worlds are like. Those will come out sometime during December or January.

The Secret Linal page that is going to be posted somewhere for a limited time will give out secret information pertaining to the Linal Project and what kind of world Linal exactly is. No I'm not going to spoil it and tell you where it is and the page is not going to tell you exactly what the Linal project is; but it will fun for you all and a good prize at the end.

Lost Falchion Giveaway: That is right RB's Universe is giving away two signed copies of the manuscript version of Lost Falchion. There will be more info in second episode of the IEC but everyone has a chance to win one.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who watches this. I thank you guys for all your support throughout this entire year. I am currently working on wrapping up NaNoWriMo and Forced War. I'm also working on a lot of stories for upcoming episodes of the Imonoran Empire Cast. Most of these will also appear in Empire Vol. 2. Make sure you guys are working hard on your stories for Empire Vol. 3. That will be the fan Volume of the Empire Short Story Series.

IEC Moved!

OK the IEC Season Finale is out on time you may just have a hard time finding it! It has been moved to Podango. Thank you all for your support for my first year of podcasting, I really appreciate it!

No the url to the new site is imonoranempire.podango.com. Make sure you go their and subscribe to the feed. The Feedburner feed has been switched but the I am having problems switching the iTunes feed so do not click on the subscribe with iTunes button.

To subscribe in iTunes click on rss button (below the iTunes button) and go to iTunes and in the "Advanced" menu click on subscribe to podcast copy and past the URL in the address bar in the Box that pops up. Do not download the past episodes, most of them won't download because the services won't talk to each other. But new episodes will download. Other wise you should be able to subscribe anywhere else. If the service I was using comes back online I will post an update to let everyone know. Other wise please get the word out. Thank you.

Out of Town

OK everyone I'm out of town. Good thing I'm head of schedule on NaNoWriMo: 50,000 words people. Yep that's right I'm already at the NaNo limit. I'm working on the down hill slope to make it to 100,000.

The novel is working out quite well. Well enough that I am able to keep working on editing Forced War.

Encyclopedia Imperia and IEC Updates

Well the Imonoran Empire Cast and the Encyclopedia Imperia have both been updated.

The new episode of the IEC Showcases not a new story or new part of the IHDA but a story that was written before the Imonoran Empire was the cohesive thing it is today. Saving Worlds is a very early piece that I wrote before the Empire was actually understood in my head. It has been edited and updated several times by me and this is the finished product.

I would like to give a huge shout out to a friend of mine: Amanda Moss! She is the Narrator for this story. Thank you so much Amanda!

The Encyclopedia Imperia has it's first official update, something other than the introduction. The first Article that was chosen to be put up was about the Emperor. This was chosen for the reason that the Empire wouldn't be an empire without the Emperor.

Google Calendar

OK so I made a Google Calendar. It basically shows all the events that will be happening with the Imonoran Empire Cast as well as the Encyclopedia Imperia. I'll put other stuff up when I start to get more information.

This is for y'all. So you can know what is happening and when things are going to be released. The second season of the IEC is getting ready to start.

The IHDA will be put on hold for a while I have a special story that has been read by someone else other than me. So I will have two more episodes this month before the Season Two comes out. The story will be broken into two episodes that gives you a good amount of story per episode. The first will be out on this Wednesday (11-05-08).

Then I'll release Forced War.

That is how the end of this month is going to shape up. All the episodes for this month will be prerecorded since NaNoWriMo is going on and I am trying to double my out put from last month.

New Encyclopedia Imperia Project

OK I've started a new projec that you can find here. This new project is part of the Imperial Writer's Guide and the Empire Project in general. I will be updating this blog with a new article from the Encyclopedia every two weeks. This will hopefully help those who want to write stories in the Imonoran Empire to do so.

These articles will be archived in the Encyclopedia Imperia Site (A.K.A. The Imonoran Empire Wiki) . This means a large expansion for the Imperial Writer's Guide and Encyclopedia Imperia. I hope that people will enjoy the easy format of the Encyclopedia.

No there is no order to how the articles will come out so you will just have to wait and see like everybody else. The first article as well as an Introduction to the whole project is up on the blog already. The first few articles will be ones that are already on the site. That way we can get infomation out to you in a quick manner.

Blinding Dig (Working Title)

NaNoWriMo '08 is almost upon us and I am going to work at it again this month. I plan to double the out put I had from last year. That's right 100k words this next month instead of 50k. The next novel in the Imonoran Empire will be written during this month giving me more time to work on Ynel and do it right.

Lost Falchion Update

OK I'm sure everyone who is still following this is wondering about a release date for Lost Falchion n print.

Well there currently is no release date. It will probably fall long the lines of late (very late) '09. This will put it along the same lines as Forced War's release date giving you too books from the Imonoran Empire line to buy. I've started work on a short story based In Ilahin Imperial Republic as well. It is going to be quite long and won't come out over the feed until after it is complete (which because of other projects probably won't be until after Forced War is finished podcasting).

I'm still working on other stories for the Empire and have started a new series of short stories (outside of what is already being released, so no this isn't the IHDA). This means more content will be coming across the IEC feed for you in the years (yes that is years) to come.

I have started some prelim work on the Next Imonoran Empire Novel/Novella including the time frame characters n general plot line of the story. I will be hiding a release of the Prologue to this latest story somewhere across the RB's Universe with in the next 6-8 months. I will drop hints to it here and everywhere.

I've also started working on some prelim work for the Ynel novel. I don't know if I'm going to work on Short Stories for Ynel I have a few in mind but again not sure. I know I won't be continuing the Ynel stories beyond what I write in the start: meaning after I podcast the Ynel novel I won't be continuing to write stories for it like the Imonoran Empire.

Also I'm done with prelim work for the first novel in Urkia Quadrilogy. At the moment though I don't know if I am going to work on the Urkia Quadrilogy or Ynel novel first.

So there is lot of Updates for you, more than just Lost Falchion.

Welcome Back Imonoran Empire Cast

OK, everyone the Imonoran Empire Cast, IEC, is back. This means go start listening and downloading once again. Thank you all for your support all the way through this little ordeal of being unable to write new material for the show. I do have a lot of material coming your way so pay close attention.

Updates for Everyone

So I haven't been writing anything here on my blog or anywhere else. But I have been busy. I've been battling a small bout of depression and writers' block. Thank you all for sticking with me and staying through until the end of the little problem.

Well now the train is back on its tracks and moving ahead full speed. We are going to see a lot coming out of me these next few months before Forced War debuts in December, which I hope everyone is looking forward too. Since the Prologue has already been released that one is going to be released in a special episode at 12:00 am PST on November 30th. And then the very, next day, that's right folks two episodes in a row, at 12:00 am PST December 1st Forced War Chapter 1 will be going out over the feed.

So everyone will have their fill of Imonoran Empiry goodness. You guys have only yourselves to thank for this for keeping me going and supporting me through this little bout of depression and writers' block.

For now all you need to get crackin' on your own Imonoran Empire Stories. There are a lot of rescourses so far that you can use. Two of the largest projects that I'm working on is the Encyclopedia Imperia (A.K.A. the Imonoran Empire Wiki) and Imperial Writers' Guide. These are hopefully going to be two very well defined pieces of work to help you on your journey in writing for the Imonoran Empire. Remeber we are even running a contest to have your stories put in Empire Vols. 3 and 4.

To enter this simply send your story (as a ".doc") in an e-mail to either rbsuniverse@gmail.com or imonoranempire@gmail.com. We are hoping for 20 stories in each Volume so get cracking and if you need help you can always send e-mails to either one of those two above or comment here on the blog.

Not Dead!

OK people I need to clarify somethings: I am NOT Dead! I was gone for a week and then I was on a writing crunch for the last three. I think everyone who reads this will be happy to know that I am now getting very close to being finished with Forced War.

But another thing that I was working on was a story for the IHDA that I mentioned in the last interview with Unexpected Ramifications. Because I know that just reading out facts of Imperial History would bore the heck out of me, so I assume it would bore the heck out of all of you too. So I have written a short story to go along with it and the first will be coming out soon.

So I've been writing a lot. Chapter 14 and the Epilogue of Lost Falchion have already been put out and you will be looking for that Novella on Podiobooks soon.

Write now I'm working on Forced War so you will all enjoy that when it comes out.

Well I was just alerted to an awesome site by J.C. Hutchins' MINE the site is The Authority for Universe Ownership. It is a hilarious website that is completely worth a visit. You can get a free deed to a universe.

Poke around the site more than just getting that and see the $10,000 "low cost" Membership fee and the science behind the whole site. It is really great.

Forced War is getting close to being finished then I will start recording that so it is all ready to go! It is really nice to have things going so well.

That is right people I just finished writing Lost Falchion. Now All I need is an editor and we are going strong! So the announcement was made today that Chapter 14 is going to be late. I'm sorry but this is true. I'm working on getting all the Chapters up on the Imperial Writers' Guide so you can get a sneak peak there.

That's right people I only have one and half more chapters to write and the Lost Falchion is done. Chapter 13 is going to out later on today in the IEC and then chapter 14 (the longest in the entire novella) will be out the 11th of August and then the 15th and final chapter will come out August 25th and then it will be on to short stories.

I've got a lot of content planned out for the IEC. I'm in the proccess of recording Forced War as well so that should be ready by the time December comes out.

Lost Falchion Cover

So I have finished the cover to Lost Falchion:

There it is! Isn't she beautiful? I think it turned out very well. So when you go to Podiobooks.com and find the Lost Falchion, you'll see this cover. My novella is turning out well I have one more chapter to write and then it is done! This is going to be the hardest chapter too I can already tell.

So in three more episodes you will have an end to the novella and then we break for some short stories and some news segments and then it on to Forced War in December with Season 2 of the Imonoran Empire Cast!

So I'm almost done writing Lost Falchion, and am working on a cover. I have picked out a picture of a Falchion (a type of sword people) and have gotten permission to use the pic so all I have to do is pick out a font and start the process going. I'm going to put up story on Podio-books as soon as I get the book finished.

There are somethings I have to redo (such as rerecording the Prologue, Chapters 1, 2 and 3 and the Misical opener). But you should be able to get it off there soon. Next we are going ot have Forced War coming over the feed, after a brief stint of short stories this fall.

Well there isn't that tell you all about. The updates mostly have to do with the IEC.
#1 We might have the one and only J.C. Hutchins on board to narrate a short story close to the end of this season.
#2 We might also have Scott Sigler on board for a short story. He is working very hard on Contagious right now but he told me to e-mail him again in September so we'll try it again and see if we can get him to read a story for us. I am going to warn you all now: If Scott gets on board to read a story it is going to have mature rating!
#3 We have about four or five more episodes of the Lost Falchion left. That means that you will get to here the end of this story soon and it also means that we will get to some short stories soon!
#4 Forced War is almost finished and I will start recording it when it is finished. You'll have a promo for it after I record a little of it and get some preview clips.

That is all I can think of right now but when I get more I'll let you know.

#5 The second novel based in the Imonoran Empire is already in the planning phase as well as the the Urkia Quadrilogy is about to start (reserved Podcast). Unexpected Ramifications and Other News

OK people I just did a interview with UR you should go check it out. It gets pretty in depth at all the new things we're doing at RB's Universe. Make sure you check there often because they are going to be having some hard hitting stories coming out of the works soon. After Lost Falchion is finished they are planning to do an entire staff review of the piece.

It's fun stuff like that that makes it worth going to all these different news blogs. Also I have to give some love to B. Blie make sure you go look at him. He is a upstart "Semi-Pro" Blogger trying to make his way in the world.

Well I am not dead, but dead week is over! I have made some decisions and will be podcasting Forced War. When Lost Falchion is finished some short stories will be available over the feed and then we'll jump into Forced War. I have Scott Sigler lined up for this fall to read a short story and will be contacting some other people in order to drum up support.

Well you will be able to listen to a preview of what Forced War is going to sound like in the next episode of the IEC, as well as chapters 9 and 10 of Lost Falchion.

Lost Falchion has officially been redesignated as a novella rather than a novel. It will also be available in the Forced War release (subject to change). So when you buy Forced War flip to the very back and you can read Lost Falchion. It will be available as a separate volume as well, but this is a good way of promoting the two at the moment. I may change this in the future so if you absolutely want it that way make sure you look into commenting here or sending an e-mail to RB's Universe at rbsuniverse@gmail.com. That is the way to comment on all things.

I also have several Novellas and Novels based in the Imonoran Empire lined up after Forced War to be podcasted. You will also be seeing the Urkia, Ynel and Linal Projects coming out in podcast form so I will be podcasting for a while.

Well I am seriously considering podcasting Forced War. I am going to have a poll running on this blog for the next month. So make sure you vote on that and then we will be having that as the next Novel to be podcasted over the IEC feed. I have Scott Sigler lined up to read a short story later this year and I am going to contact Mur Lafferty and Christiana Ellis later to read stories in season two.

Imperial Canvas Active

The Imperial Canvas is now active!

Some basics for the story:
The game that the story has it is an Imperial sport that has never been played here yet. It has a ball that is about the size of a baseball and each team has fourteen players on the field at all times (7 offensive and 7 defensive). The seven offensive are: 1 Forwarder (the player that starts out with the ball during offensive plays) 4 runners (waiting for the ball to be passed to them so they can score) and two corners (the offensive defense).

The seven defensive players are: 1 goalie (he/she guards the 2m diameter goal), 2 forward defenders (Farther up the field getting ready to intercept and tackle the offensive players coming down the field, 4 Defenders (in between the forward defenders and the goalie).

The players make plays abd try to throw the ball through the round 2 meter in diameter goal.

This is the game that is being played. I will explain it in more detail later.

The Ynel Contest Continues. Make sure you look at participating in this event! We are trying to drum up support for RB's Universe. Thank you to all who have e-mailed in ideas! We as of now have five (5) entries. This does not even cover the complete total of winners that there can be. We need about four (4) more and the judging can start!

OK Guys I am going to run a poll here in the next month for what you would like to see from RB's Universe in the next year. There is a huge twist in the story this time so get ready for that.

Ideas for a story

Well I have a section at the bottom of this blog called the "Imperial Canvas." I have received several e-mails about what this is going to be used for. Well I have given several explanations as well. So right here I am going to void all those explanations:

This will be used for a story that will be on going... I do NOT have a date for when it is going to start but I will try to start it soon. I'm going to try and use it to show some of what sports looks like in the Imonoran Empire. AND I am going to try and show some of what normal life is like.

Again I do NOT have a date for when it is going to start and it probably won't update on a regular basis. But it will. If you would like to get on a mailing list for when it does start and does update e-mail RB's Universe at rbsuniverse@gmail.com.

Project Ideas

Well I was looking over my ideas for a the upcoming projects.

First of all the next project that I am going to be working on:

The Urkia Project:
There is several possibilities for this project. Seeing as how it is for books I can work it in several different ways. The first being of course break it up into several different projects. Meaning in the upcoming session. I write book one as well as a short story anthology. (I promise that if I am able I will bring a short story anthology out with each project (note that I didn't say each novel!).) Then I would move onto the Ynel Project and then revisit the Urkia Project writing book 2 then Linal (I know Linal is pretty much the only unknown aspect of the RB's Universe) and then back to the Urkia Project with book 3... and so on. Or I could write book one and two this time and then Ynel then book 3 and 4 (3 & 4 will most likely be written together even if the other two aren't because the last book is just an Epilogue which will lead readers into areas they can write themselves.

The Ynel Project:
The Ynel project is not really even in a planning stage for the novel yet. I have several short stories ready to be written that introduce the main characters and the world as a whole but I really don't have to many ideas for the novel yet. I will update with more later.

The Linal Project:
OK this is the one that most people are clamoring over. What is Linal? Well I'm not going to tell you. I have told you what Urkia is and what Ynel is and we all know what the Imonoran Empire is so you are just going to have to wait and see on what Linal is. I will release information about it before the Novel is released (most likely in the form of a short story anthology).

Other Ideas for the above Projects:
I am thinking of Podcasting all the above novels as well as Forced War. I'm not sure but it will boost support of the novels and it worked very well for Scott Sigler (Future Dark Overlord).

F.S.O.

OK you guys there has got to be some of you out there who like to RP. I mean back in the day we had a huge number of players of Federation Space Online. During the first year of play alone we had 2,468 players. Then someone had to hit us with a virus and we had to close the game. We lost everything because of that. All models and specifications were lost like books in a fire. When we reopened later it wasn't as good and alot of things were only half assed. We made do but it still caused a lag in the player numbers.

Now we have re-released and it you can go play it. The only thing that is now under construction with the original F.S.O. is the Guide for New Players. F.S.O.2 is almost ready to be released and my team are working hard on putting that out there for you but please give it some love when it comes out.

After F.S.O.2 we will work on launching the expansion set and then get the Compound out for you as well.

Some Numbers

This will be released in IEC Episode 112 but I am going to put it here to just to show how useful this blog can be.

I have recently been looking at the number of Downloads and our totals for the months so far and I have been very pleased. Right now just for the month of April we are currently at 141 downloads. Which gives us a total of 384 downloads to date. I really only have all the listeners to thank. Episode 12 will have a note to this effect as well so listen for that.

I am also trying to get some big names in podcasting to read a Chapter or piece of a chapter. Currently I have sent requests to Scott Sigler (Future Dark Overlord (TM)) and J.C. Hutchins. I have not received replies yet but I have to wait.

This is not any promises but I do have my fingers crossed.

I am also thinking about Mur Lafferty and Christiana Ellis for the book as well. If so I will have to rerecord the intro to LF becuase it won't be just me reading it any more... well at least not for four episodes... five because back in march we had Chris Lester Read chapter 2 part 2. So yeah... that would be really nice... but we'll see I've sent one to FDO (TM) and J.C. so if those responses go well then we'll move on to Mur and Christiana.

I want to make a distinction about the above. Mur and Christiana are not "2nd choices" or something... I had just already sent out e-mails to FDO (TM) and J.C. upon the writing of this blog post and do not have the material ready for ready for four consecutive episodes. Chapters 5 & 6 have gone through the final editing phase and are ready to be read "on the wire" but Chapters 7 - the Epilogue have not. My editors (myself and one other person) aer currently working on getting those one's finished.

OK I'm back from the beach. It was nice, I relaxed and got to write some. I then got see the ocean and the surf and everything. Chapter 4 of Lost Falchion will be coming out tonight at midnight.

OK so I am going to be gone today and most of tomorrow so I will not be posting tomorrow. I will give you all some quick updates though:

Forced War:
If the editing process keeps going smoothly and I find another editor I will hopefully be releasing it through Lulu.com this fall/winter. So keep your eyes peeled for that. Also I am looking at doing a sequel... well sort of. It will be a sequel in the same way Lost Falchion is a sequel to Forced War. It will come afterward and deal with the Imonoran Empire. This sequel may even deal with Rantré... maybe.

Lost Falchion:
OK so there really isn't any news on lost Falchion it will keep releasing on schedule and I don't for see any problems. It will however keep up to the end so you won't be seeing anything new from the IEC untill Lost Falchion is finished. (It may turn out to be more of a Novella instead of a Novel.)

Empire Vol. 2/3:
OK So Empire Vol. 2 will be releasing an unedited version this summer. Don't expect a lot of pics as was in Vol. 1 but we will be seeing it this summer.

Vol. 3 however will not be seen until probably early 09, with the Urkia Project Starting as soon as I finish editing Forced War and post the unedited version of Vol. 2. Now remember Vol. 3 is left entirely in your hands so get writing and I will get finished with the Imperial Writers' Guide so you can know the exact parameters that you can write in.

That's pretty much it for right now. I will update Sunday when after I've finished editing IEC 111 so make sure you check that out. That is pretty much all from me.

Well I know I just started this today and I have nothing really posted but I wanted to give some RB's Universe Updates. OK First of all the Ynel Contest is still runing and there is a new rescource in development for your help in this contest.

A new Wiki has been made by me for Ynel specifically! There is nothing on it at the moment but I am working on getting it up. It will be... hard with not time to update it but I'm putting it on the for front of the RB's Universe Project List (after Lost Falchion and the IEC of course!) because we really need to find a closing date for this event. I will leave it open ended until we get enough people to judge but you know I can't do that for ever.There is also going to be an announcement on the IEC this week so listen for that.

Also some other news is the that we are looking at writers to add things to Empire Vol. 3. It has come to our attention that I have written 18 stories in this series and we have just seen my view of this world (which is common in most authors careers). We would like to go one step further and see what the people who read these stories think of this world and how they perceive it.

Yes my opinions matter because it is I who created the Imonoran Empire but so do yours. So this is your chance. It is not a contest at the moment but it may become one in the future. We are putting together Empire Vol. 3 with stories the readers have written. This is your chance to get your fanfic made into canon. I would like everyone to realize that we can not put everyone's stories in to one volume so we may add an Empire Vol. 4 if we get enough interest in Empire Vol. 3. Even if you don't make it into the next volume it is possible that you could make it into 4. And if we get enough response to this and we don't have enough entries to make a Volume 4 then i will get my fingers moving and fill in the rest of Vol. 4 for you guys to get published.

News:
R.A.I. A screen play that I am working on will be posted after it is finished. If I have any takers to see it you can e-mail me. I may try to put a lo budget production on but I'm not sure it depends if the audience get's big enough with the demand.

Well this post is pretty much over and I haven't even discussed what I wanted to.

Well really quick. I want to talk to you about the Licenses you see popping up all over RB's Universe. Well you see there is this bill called the Orphan Works Bill that is coming before congress (Google and make sure you are informed about it especially if you are an artist that posts things on the web). It will officially remove all rights to images, stories and anything else that you have posted oline will have it's rights removed so that some other person can take it and sell it and you can't do a thing about it! That is the reason for the Creative Commons popping up all over the place. Make sure you get informed and send letters to your congressman.

I am planning for this to be the random blitherings of a writer who is trying to write a novel edit another novel and keep up on school work.

Yeah sounds crazing I know but I will try to keep you up to date on all that is going on between Forced War, Lost Falchion and the rest of RB's Universe I am not sure though. I will keep you posted.

First Order of Business:
Forced War:
Yeah so I am currently editing Forced War. I am through chapter 5 so far and have started on chapter 6. Well it is going better then I thought but the novel right now is not going to be released until winter '08 at the earliest. I may release a chapter or two as a promo for the novel, I have already released the Prologue and you can find that on the UR (Unexpected Ramifications) site.

I don't know if they have brought it over to their new site yet but I have been assured by them that they will. Forced War is my first novel and therefore very close to me. I am keeping it under wraps so much not just so I can finish but also because it is so close to my heart that I really don't want to let it go yet.

A few close personal friends are the only people who have seen it. Well at least through Chapter 5 that is.

Lost Falchion:
Well I am in the process of writing Lost Falchion and you can actually go see it at the Imperial Writers' Guide. I have the Prologue and Chapter 1 posted there and am working on formatting Chapters 2,3 and 4 for the web (I write my novels formatted for the printed page). I am working on writing Chapter 5 and have already recorded Chapter 4 which will be released this up coming Monday (April 21, 2008). I am very happy at how the quality has picked up since I got Chapter 3 finished. Even though it was broken up it still has had better quality than the first three installations (Prologue-Chapter 2).

Well that is pretty much it for right now I will be giving an update on the Empire Project sometime this week and will hopefully be able to get that on here as soon as possible.
